Run in partnership between the Housing Diversity Network, BME National and the National Housing Federation, the Diversity, Equality and Inclusion in Housing conference will equip you with the tools you need to affect change in your organisations.

With the centenary of the first women gaining the right to vote, and the Black Lives Matter movement, discussions about diversity, equality and inclusion are at the top of the agenda.

About the event

An absolutely illuminating day. The networking was great too.

Incorporating diversity, inclusion and equality values into our workforce and communities is not just 'the right thing to do', it's the best thing to do and is imperative for a happier, healthier society.

Diversity, Equality and Inclusion in Housing 2018

Real diversity and inclusion delivers more engaged employees and residents, improves cohesion and increases productivity.

Why attend?

This new conference will cover three main themes:

  • why diversity matters – outlining the business case
  • how we can be more diverse within our sector
  • supporting diversity in our communities.

Through a variety of different formats, this conference will enable attendees to celebrate the excellent work housing associations do to promote diversity, as well as examine the inequalities and inefficiencies that still exist within their organisations and communities. It will equip you with solutions to the challenges these groups still face.

Change labs: we have programmed space for you to explore the specific challenges affecting your organisation but will also make those essential connections to the broader diversity agenda. Our Change labs in particular are geared towards promoting discussion between delegates so that you can collaboratively build solutions.
